These might look like picture perfect works of art of an artist, but no, they are real stills
Hundreds of indigenous people and thousands of supporters peacefully marched Brazil in protest of the upcoming World Cup in an effort to block the roads.
On Tuesday the 27th of May 2014, the police blocked the march and soon were using tear gas, sound grenades and rubber bullets on people violently to disperse the protest march. The march was peaceful; the protesters chanted slogans and carrying signs against the FIFA's World Cup until policemen on horses surrounded them and responded with rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades. There were reports of injuries, and the police apparently just did not care! One policeman was struck by an arrow and was immediately attended to by an ambulance.
All of this took place at the newly revamped National Mane Garricha stadium completed in May a year ago. Seven of the up-coming World Cup Games (including the match between Brazil and Cameroon) will be held at this stadium.
Earlier, other indigenous groups staged a protest near the National Congress asking about legislation before congress that threatens to shrink the size of some reserves for indigenous groups.
Policemen are meant to be a refuge for people in their country, correct? Yes... To be a policemen enter the police force by volunteering and not force, correct? Yes... therefore it baffles me how a person that chooses to serve humanity then goes against that code and causes harm and discomfort to people.
