Being Fourty year old

Just in case you're thinking of being forever young. Good luck_ I say good luck because when reality strikes, there'll be a subscription for Facebook* 

Now do I think that will happen? Hell no. But that's just an exaggerated maybe as to how difficult life would be without access to your favorite platform... mainly because it's so user friendly. So... if you don't grow up... you'll never earn an honest living. But, just like the title says: being fourty means appreciating all the little things in life. I may be fourty, but I still miss my Mama when I'm away, when I can't sleep or even cook lol So the term Forever Young is being too loosely used... you are young at heart but reality should never escape you.

I'm a week into my 40s and already I feel so blessed.

 Inspiration 

Waking up in the morning is inspirational. You get to try what drives you with a fresh and (hopefully) a better perspective. 

I'm turning 40 this year... next week actually, on the 11th (of March): shout out. What I've come to realize is that your future really does lie in your hands. You need to respect your elders so your days can be longer. There's always a lot of voices that will whisper opportunities of silver and gold... I ignore them; cos I know wisdom is better than silver and gold! Listen to yourself first, then you can respond to the noise in the world. 

Some may try to erase my face... but millions like me will surface. So, in actuality, you are your own boss. Keep your head up and grow 🌻

The world keeps spinning 🌍

 8:39am and I'm sitting outside with a cigarette creased between the index finger and the middle finger. The fresh morning air does wonders for my mind. And as I sit here... I ponder about those that call themselves "friends". Don't get me wrong, I've got very good and understand friends in my life... it's the wolves in sheep skin I can't stand. The year has barely begun and already you've shown what an ass you are...

How then can I go through life with you? Knowing that with you by my side I'll lose the best part of me rather than grow... no thank you!

There's too much wrong in the world for me to entertain what doesn't please me. I'm too old to be chasing you and wasting my precious energy. I want peace so keep your drama and let's move on!

Spring. Summer... not winter. 

I am a person who is without complaints in summer. It's such a jovial season... most people are happy, smiling and mingling (not stuck in the house trying to be warm).

The colours speak to me. 

The vibrant melting pot of brightness and joy.

Give me summer any day 🌻

Don't Look Up

 So... I love the hidden meaning in any great movie; and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the movie #DontLookUp! 

The fact that people (dare I say tyrants) with money can just make useless decisions in contradiction of what could save mankind... just to make more money. I, intact, think that's what's happening in our world today. Governments don't listen to minorities. The richer keep getting richer while the poor get poorer. 

The movie inspired me... to remember that we need to figure out the important things in life rather than chase waterfalls and rainbows. Live life like today is your last day. Tomorrow is not promised; yesterday is your only guarantee!
