Proud Black man

In 2026, I turned 43.

I went through a lot of self discovery and being myself a lot. I realized that I don't have to beg lovers for attention  - I'm better than that... your loss! I learned that prayer takes away disappointment and that disappointment is huge part of life... grief - oh! The moments of depression that settle in when I miss my cousin who passed away at the tender age of 37... my Dad who left this here realm in 2012 and became an important part of my spirituality! My grandparents (my Mom's parents) and Sister and Brother who passed away before I was born... I long for that connection... I wish I had met them and that they were still alive... I really do!

See... I don't have it all figured out. But, in turn... I am you. You are me. We are each other's social standard... give or take a couple of mistakes... but with that said... I'm proud of my heritage. I'm proud of my Forefathers and my Ancestors. They guide me. They protect me. And they show me love... and with that in my heart... I say:

Life

Life moves... it changes_you and it.

When you're a kid... you look forward to Saturday mornings and going life searching with your friends. Then you hit your 20's and realize just how beautiful life is and how much you want to experience it; so you meet people, you party and do questionable things in hopes that you learn a lesson rather than lose the battle... bravery at its peak. The dirty 30's creep in and you start saving money and looking for the right partner. By the time you're in your 40's... time is moving so fast that you want to just press the 'relax' button. Can you find it? Are you intact?

That's why_whenever you get the time to just relax and receive... take it. Breathe.
