When in high school, we were never allowed to have dreadlocks. So as soon as I left high school, the first thing I did was grow my afro and lock the thickest locks I could imagine.
I loved my dreadlocks. A lotta people said they were rebellious, others liked them and others just wanted to have them as well. They explained a vibrant me, a "rebellious" me, a charismatic me and simply put... me!
Growing my locks meant that I could do what I wanted to do and not be confined by "the system" of rules that the school gave us!
They were an expression, they were a reason I could do what I wanted to do and not hold my self back.
Oh and I just liked them and thought they were pretty mint!!
So...what does your hair say about you?
