It's always a blessing being content with someone smarter than you leading you. A helping hand is something only a fool would allow to slip away. 

Remain humble... I was on flight mode and suddenly it's f*ck u... don't forget... we call each other brother for a reason... it's a sign of respect. No need to act like Cane and Abel... let's rather be like Noah and build together... don't front!

 

Being Black is phenomenal

I was born in '83... just after Apartheid and just before Freedom.

I remember in the summer days at school (Primary School) when it was so cool sharing our lunch box with the friends which today I consider Family. See, God makes you realize at a young age what you're destined for... I was destined to change the world with my words. Prophecy after Prophecy about the world 🗺 ending made me curious as to how our Creator started the process of creation. He said let there be light (and there was)... we ate decades in,and the world is still turning. 

I realized that I belong even though I was raised in a melting pot of races in a multi racial setting... however, my conclusion is that; I can be whoever I want to be in a world that thinks being myself as a Black person is a fashion. Well guess what... it's who I am... not who you think I am. Like Sade says "I'm in the wilderness, I am in the music... somewhere in my sadness I know I won't fall apart completely!

Remember your Humble beginnings

Hello... my name is Melusi and I believe a lot in Subliminal Advertising. 

My Mom, Dad & Aunt warned me that getting in Advertising wasn't gonna be easy (I was supposed to study PR... I did aswell). They were warning me that in Advertising, you need to have your own brain 🧠... granted there's barely nothing new under the sun... but if you focus hard enough... you will surely be creative. 

These are some of my favorite things. I'm inviting you into and beyond my Velvet Rope. For instance... Coca-Cola: did you know that in movies they'll show a can of Coke or someone drinking it... and immediately you'll feel thirsty because that's how powerful their Advertising is... it's Paradise: it's better than it was advertised! I remember in my 1st year of Advertising at Boston Media House writing one of our tests; one of the questions was: "How would you describe Advertising?" My answer was quite elaborate and I added that, Advertising is like a Brain Tattoo... it should stick in your mind forever. The lecturer (she was my favorite) actually put a smiley face :-) next to my Answer... I even got 100% for the yest and was top of my class. I've obtained my Diploma, but as you know... in our country... being educated doesn't secure you a place in an office... you have to create a means of an income creatively. I'm not sad that I can't get my dream job... it would be dope... but guess what... my experience and my work speaks for itself. Don't ever give up on your dreams... if one door 🚪 closes... kick the other one open (or use the backdoor) - there's always a way. These ate some of my influences and my 💘 loves. So basically what I'm trynna say is..  never stop dreaming. Dream BIG and act BIGGER. If it's your shot... will you take it? Or let it slip through your fingers... I think we all know the answer.
