Calling all the B-boys and B-girls...1-2...1-2...

Those that did not understand it used to say that it is corrupting the children.
Those that only saw what they wanted said it's for gangstas.
The ones that tried to be famous chocked on the bite of fame that they took, because they were never real to begin with.

You love Hip Hop... why?
You dig the lifestyle... are you into the real or the pussy galore?

Hip Hop grows
Have you grown,
or have you shot yourself in the foot and tried being fresh but ended up just playing yourself?

Give me my Adidas and let's step to this.

Hip Hop... and ya don't stop!

Hip Hop (you're the love of my life)

I remember first listening to Common and being so enthralled. In those days (the 90's, it was very rare to find a hip hop artist that had a raw messaged crossed with a deep penetration to your mind and at the same time he would get you dancing and make you feel something that you hadn't about hip hop.

He single handedly re awoken what I knew and what I loved about hip hop...

... and I've never looked back since.

#Be

Are you the sharpest crayon in the box or are you the blunt one?

Urban Lifestyle

An urban lifestyle keeps fresh. It reminds you to keep your finger on the pulse. It keeps you in touch with the latest trends.
It reminds you to stay open minded, on top of your game and also to stay connected.
I know you know the saying that "You only live once", you can only truly know this if you actually live your life.
Ain't nobody gonna live your life for you... you gotta live it, enjoy it and yo... be it while being in it!

Live your life

African child

We live in a diverse country. We have different races; different projections of different and eclectic lifestyles.

We grow our heritage through our main experiences which we share along with personal friends, with family and most prominently: the higher powers. The level of your belief system is layered through the life lessons that you have learnt; the education that has been installed in you; your political affiliation can also highly influence the opinions that you have and want. You want change because change makes rands and growth. We have our elders that depend on us to inform them about what the freedom charter talks about, what the freedom charter promises us, and ultimately them. They raised you to think critically; to act responsibly and most importantly, to know yourself in this ever changing and testing world.

We all want the lifestyle that gives us hope, love and grand lifestyles...
however, how do you acquire that? Is it through your cultural beliefs? Is it through your religious beliefs? Or is it even through the sheer courage and rebellious nature that brings you to a point of affirmation in what you stand for. What I'm trying to say is that: I know what I want in life. I know my goals in life and I definitely know the path that I want to take. However, I have learnt to learn from my beating and thumping courage that keeps me wanting and longing for the ultimate goal of being able to silence the world when it gets too loud. The world can get loud even when you are centered and focused. We have to just remember that our mind set matters; that we are diverse... that we are human and this is the one thing that makes us reach for more than we can achieve.

Africa has taught me that we should never give into the influences that do not bring fruits of success to us. As an African, and as Africa; we are untouched by the changing world and the grabbing influences of the vast world. As much of influence that we receive from different factors that lead you in a certain directions, we have to remember that saving our father's and forefather's nation, we are ultimately saving ourselves and install growth that cannot be cut down or uprooted.

I am not preaching to you. It is one of those instances where I am giving you my opinion. Opinion is something that lies within; I keep mine awoken, I keep mine flowing and I keep mine strong. There is a fountain in me that is untouched and not drank by the false promises that come along to divert one's inner being. So, saving the African that you are, is saving the future that you will definitely be responsible for and will shape.

So, as diverse as this country is; remember that you are deep, diverse and most importantly, responsible for never letting the Africa inside you die.

Stand up tall African child... you have only one life to fit into a lifetime of perfect ancestry. Let yours shine... I know I won't ever dim mine!

I love big apples!

New York City

Being a person that loves seeing new avenues, meeting new people, learning about other cultures and ways of living. I must just say that I will make sure that I turn my dream of seeing New York City into a reality. I have the passion,  I have the drive and I most definitely have the inquisitive mind to go and see it. Therefore...all I will say is:
wait for me New York. I will one day embrace and walk around in that concrete jungle.

I've always loved apples...the bigger the better!

The quest that will surprise you

When looking for the answer, don't forget that you will see many things that will point you in a direction that you may want to or think you would need to take.

The first step to the quest of you answer starts at the starting block that you are at. Is the answer staring you in the face, or is it one that you have to learn? That is the question!

Don't be easily dissolved in the ingredient for disaster by not thinking logically and critically. Many, many things can influence you to take the route that will not get you to the finish line.

The joy of your discovery lies in knowing that you were on a quest and from the results that you get, know how to deal with them. Accept them and know how to especially comprehend them.

The result may be laughter
The result may be deep emotions that a person or situation foils you with.
The most important lesson in this quest is to remember that the answers that lie close to and beyond the supreme horizon that hugs the world ever so tightly are never obvious and they can hide some truths that can never be revealed or discovered.

Remember to be cognitive, and you might just get an answer that gives you a hundred percent realization to your (human) being.

Inspired by Erykah Badu

They move around in groups,
because when they are in the group, they are powerful;
they have more to say because it makes more sense and it's more powerful and has more weight than
when you say it alone...
because God forbid you stand up for what's right even when your voice is shaking.

We are they...
we are more powerful when we say the same thing...wrong or right...

The individual is always side lined...
questioned...
ridiculed...
erased

Who are you?
